Sacred Writing Circle with G. Avanzato

Service Description

Mountain Magic Market is delighted to welcome back Gianluca Avanzato to lead another Sacred Writing Circle at the shop! In this Sacred Writing Circle, you are invited to turn to writing as a practice of self-knowing. Together, we’ll explore the theme of connecting with the divine through the life and work of Teresa of Ávila, drawing inspiration from her mystical text, The Interior Castle. Through meditation, writing prompts, and sharing, we will cultivate a sacred space for the divine within and without. You will emerge from this experience with several original written pieces to refine or share or treasure. Everyone is welcome: no religious/spiritual affiliation nor creative writing experience necessary. A warm welcome to LGBTQIA+ folks as well as those who have felt left out or cast out by traditional religious institutions. Meet the Teacher ~ Gianluca Avanzato is a writer, artist, musician, and teacher from Oneonta, New York who holds a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School and a Diploma in Interreligious Studies. In group facilitation and one-on-one creativity coaching, Gianluca emphasizes process over product, transformation over transaction, and fluidity over forcefulness. When: Saturday, January 16, 2027 Time: 11am – 1pm Tuition: $20 Where: Mountain Magic Market, 52 Pioneer Street, Cooperstown, NY 13326 REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
